Each and every
person who works at SoulCycle really is amazing. Everyone is so devoted to this
company, and it’s great to see everyone be genuinely excited about coming to
work every day. Sure there are bumps in the road, but it’s a very positive and
supportive environment. Because there’s only one other intern and different people
are in and out of the office every day, I sort of get to do a little bit of
everything for everyone. For the marketing department, my main task has been to
compile a list of special classes SoulCycle has put on to see if riders are
coming back. I’ve also helped out at the front desk and was able to get to know
front desk staff in different locations that way. One of my favorite (but
unexpected) parts of this internship was helping to organize the new warehouse.
SoulCycle comes out with a new retail line every month, and until a few weeks
ago everything was stored in a small warehouse in the back of the West
Hollywood studio. Now extra retail, bikes, and bike parts are in a huge
warehouse in Santa Monica, and I worked with the retail coordinator to organize
months worth of retail collections. Getting to know my SoulCycle colleagues at
all different levels and in different departments was a great way to see how
the company works on a larger level.
