CEO for the Day

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at MAN marketing and am appreciative of all of the opportunities and experiences it had to offer. The company as a whole is extremely organized and such a great place to work. The one thing that I would probably change if I were CEO would be to rearrange some of the cubicles in the office so that the art department and account coordinators were right next to each other. Because the art department is so far from the coordinators there is often a lack of communication when designs are being created, ultimately wasting valuable time. Instead of redoing ads several times, if the art department could simply ask the coordinators questions in person, the job could be done on the first try. This lack of communication, although a large problem, is probably the only thing I would do differently for the company. Everyone is extremely hardworking and open to new and creative ideas that it is hard to find things that I would want to change. The current CEO’s of MAN Marketing are very involved with the company and try to make it better each and every day. They have served as great mentors and I have learned so much from this internship.

  1. Carly!

The idea to have the art department and account coordinators sitting closer in proximity to each other is a great one. Strong communication is so important in a fast pace company and without it valuable time can go to waste. It seems like you had a great experience at your internship!

  2. Communication is key, especially in a marketing firm. The PR firm I worked at was spatially organized so that all the departments were either directly next to or very close to other departments. This fostered a close atmosphere and was very beneficial in terms of observing how the office functioned, including communication within and beyond departments.
