5) Looking Back/ Overall Insight

My life experiences, past summer internships, and undergraduate degree all play a role in contributing to my time at VoiceItt.  I think I was first interested in studying International Relations because of all of the exposure I've had while traveling abroad in the past.  I gained an appreciation for other cultures and ways of life, and wanted to immerse myself into and learn more about these foreign lifestyles.  This interest is what allowed me to come and live in Israel this summer, on my own, and be successful. When I combined this interest with my academic studies, I delved more into Middle Eastern culture, as I studied Hebrew and Israeli society, giving me further depth into the country and what it represents.  I also took many classes on Israel, so that I could focus on issues that I am particularly interested in, like foreign diplomacy and international security.

But, along with my degree, I am also very interested in international business, and feel that I have many intuitive skills that would help me thrive in the business world.  For this reason, I have spent my past summers working for multiple start-ups, to understand business structure at its core.

I think that, because of these three aspects, I was prepared for my internship experience.  Of course, there are always little obstacles to get over when working for a new company, especially when first starting off, but overall I am confident in the way I handled any situations that arose.

However, I would definitely like to practice my language skill before working in any foreign country.  I believe that the best place to learn a language in in a country where it is spoken, but it is, of course, very difficult to not be able to communicate with peers.

But building off of my previous experiences, VoiceItt adds a new dimension to the skills I have and where I want to take them.  I am very thankful for my time here, and am definitely going to keep in touch with all of my employees.
