Clear Channel Media

I have really enjoyed my first few weeks at Clear Channel Media.  The department I'm working in handles promotions for three radio stations: Kiss 108, Jamn 94.5, and Evolution 101.7.  For the first two weeks, the other interns and myself were mostly working to prepare for the two hottest concerts of the summer: Kiss Concert, sponsored by Kiss 108, and Summer Jam, hosted by Jam'n 94.5.  Our responsibilities included collecting the contests sheets for all of the on-air ticket winners from the studios upstairs, entering their information in the computer system, calling them to let them the the tickets were available for pick-up, and distributing tickets to winners/having them fill out their paperwork.  This took up a lot of time in the two weeks leading up to the concerts because all of the ticket winners from the past two months were all coming in at once to pick up their tickets.  In addition to that, we were responsible for calling and keeping track of who had won backstage passes and meet and greets with celebrities.  It is important to notify all of these people and give them the specific information they needed to have in order to have the concerts run smoothly.  Since then, our duties have included creating online contests, pulling winners from online contests and notifying them of their prizes, and continuing to deal with on-air ticket winners from various shows that occur throughout the summer.  Loving it so far!!
